2hp Buff
2HP active 2:6 buffered multiple — split pitch or audio without sag.
2 HP Eurorack module
The 2hp Buff is a fully-active buffered multiple in 2HP. The panel splits into two channels of four jacks each: Input 1 with three outputs, and Input 2 with three outputs. Each output is fed by a unity-gain op-amp buffer, preserving voltage and tone when distributing one source to several destinations. Input 1 is normalled to the second channel, so with a single cable patched it acts as a 1-to-6 mult; patch Input 2 and the lower bank becomes its own independent 1-to-3 mult.
Features
- Active 2:6 buffered multiple
- Unity-gain op-amp buffers on every output
- 1-to-6 mode when Input 2 is unpatched (Input 1 normals across)
- Two independent 1-to-3 mults when both inputs are patched
- Preserves V/Oct accuracy when stacking oscillators
- Maintains audio integrity across multiple effect sends
- No noticeable voltage sag versus a passive stackcable mult
- 8 TS 3.5mm jacks (2 inputs, 6 outputs)
- Compact 2HP form factor
- 10mm depth — fits the shallowest skiffs
- Available in silver or black panels
- No knobs, switches, or LEDs — pure utility
Controls & Jacks (8)
- Input 1 — Signal input for the first channel. Normalled to Input 2 internally — when no cable is patched into Input 2, Input 1 is also copied to Outpu
- Output 1 — Buffered copy of Input 1. Audio or CV passes through with a unity-gain op-amp stage so the source impedance to downstream destinations stays
- Output 2 — Second buffered copy of Input 1, identical to Output 1. Useful for splitting a V/Oct pitch CV to two oscillators without the voltage sag of
- Output 3 — Third buffered copy of Input 1. Together with Outputs 1 and 2 this provides three precision copies of the upper-channel input.
- Input 2 — Signal input for the second channel — feeds Outputs 4, 5, and 6 only. Patching a cable here breaks the internal normal from Input 1 so the l
- Output 4 — Buffered copy of whatever is currently feeding Channel 2 — Input 2 if patched, otherwise Input 1 via the internal normal.
- Output 5 — Second buffered copy of the Channel 2 source. Identical behavior to Output 4; tracks the Input 1 normal when Input 2 is unpatched.
- Output 6 — Third buffered copy of the Channel 2 source. Bottom-most jack on the panel.
How-To Guides
- Tune three oscillators from one pitch CV
- Use as a 1-to-6 mult (default)
- Two independent 1-to-3 mults
- Send one audio source to multiple effects
- Distribute a master clock without timing skew
