2hp Hat

Versatile six-oscillator hi-hat with serious sizzle

2 HP Eurorack module

Hat is a 2hp Eurorack hi-hat cymbal module with a versatile six-oscillator architecture and three distinct sound sources: ring-modulated oscillators, filtered noise, and a cymbal model. Separate trigger inputs for open and closed hi-hat sounds allow complete hi-hat patterns on a single module. The Sizzle control shapes timbre across all three sources, enabling sounds ranging from robotic to shimmering metallic.

Features

  • Six-oscillator architecture with three distinct sound sources
  • Separate trigger inputs for open and closed hi-hat sounds
  • Ring-modulated oscillator source for robotic tones
  • Filtered noise source for classic hi-hat character
  • Cymbal model source for bright shimmering tones
  • Sizzle control independently shapes timbre per source
  • Open hi-hat decays 5x longer than closed hi-hat
  • Blend control mixes between all three sound sources
  • 10Vpp output signal
  • 2HP form factor

Controls & Jacks (8)

  • Blend— Controls the mix of three different sound sources: ring-modulation of oscillators (far left), filtered noise (middle), or cymbal model oscil
  • Open— Triggers the open hi-hat sound
  • Sizzle— Controls a timbral adjustment specific to the sources selected by the blend control. For ring modulated source, controls the frequencies of
  • Closed— Triggers the closed hi-hat sound
  • Decay— Controls the amount of time that it takes the audio to decay completely to silence. The open hi-hat takes 5x longer than the closed hi-hat t
  • DECAY— Controls the amount of time that it takes the audio to decay completely to silence. The open hi-hat takes 5x longer than the closed hi-hat t
  • Sizzle— Controls a timbral adjustment specific to the sources selected by the blend control. For ring modulated source, controls the frequencies of
  • Out— Audio output of the cymbal sound (10Vpp signal)
