2hp Pluck
Four-voice Karplus-Strong string synthesizer in 2hp
2 HP Eurorack module
Pluck is a Karplus-Strong algorithm based string synthesizer capable of four-voice polyphony. By adjusting the Damp and Decay controls, it can produce sounds ranging from bright harp-like plucks to grungy, muted bass tones. Its expressive pitch control remains active after triggering, enabling vibrato and slew effects on ringing notes.
Features
- Four-voice polyphony with oldest-voice replacement
- Karplus-Strong algorithm based string synthesis
- 1V/Octave pitch tracking
- Bipolar CV input for Damp (-5V to 5V)
- Bipolar CV input for Decay (-5V to 5V)
- Pitch knob remains active on most recently generated note for vibrato and slew
- Output LED visualizes amplitude
- 10Vpp audio output
- 2HP Eurorack form factor
Controls & Jacks (9)
- Decay — Adjusts string size independent of pitch. Fully left dampens most harmonics; fully right increases harmonic content. Only affects generation
- Damp — Sets duration of pluck sound for new notes. Fully left is shortest; fully right is longest. Also affects harmonic content and duration. Only
- V/Oct — 1V/Octave CV input for pitch control.
- Output LED — Visualization of the amplitude of the output signal.
- Trig — Trigger input to create a new note with current knob and CV settings.
- Damp CV In — Bipolar CV input for dampening control. Range: -5V to 5V.
- Decay CV In — Bipolar CV input for decay control. Range: -5V to 5V.
- Out — 10Vpp audio output of synthesized string sound.
- Pitch — Sets fundamental frequency of string sound. Remains active for most recently generated note, allowing vibrato, slew, and tuning while note r
