The Catalyst Sequencer is an eight-channel precision CV/gate sequencer that operates simultaneously as a traditional clocked step-sequencer and an advanced phase-based sequencer. Its crossfader and Phase CV input allow continuous scrubbing through sequences, enabling everything from tight rhythmic patterns to fluid, tape-like playback controlled by external waveforms. Each of the eight channels can independently output CV or gates with per-channel overrides for length, direction, phase, transpose, clock division, and randomization.

- Eight precision CV/gate output channels, each independently configurable
- Sequences from 1 to 64 steps, organized into eight pages of eight steps each
- Phase-based sequencing: Phase CV input (0-5V) and crossfader scrub through sequence continuously
- Clock-driven sequencing: Clock In jack advances sequence on rising edge
- Crossfader and Phase CV, clock counts, and Phase parameter are summed for position
- Per-channel overrides for Start, Length, Direction, Phase, Transpose, BPM/ClockDiv, and Random
- CV output range -5V to +10V, constrainable per channel to +/-5V, +5V, +3V, or +1V
- 14 factory quantization scales plus eight custom scale slots (firmware v1.3+)
- Custom scales support up to 21 notes, not limited to semitones or octave-based repetition
- Gate mode with per-step pulse width control, ratchet (1-4 pulses), and swing (forward/backward timing offset)
- CV mode glide (glissando) per step, from 0 to 100%
- Per-step probability of random variation (0% to 93.75%)
