4ms Listen Four Quarters
Four-channel stereo mixer with balanced outputs and daisy-chaining
12 HP Eurorack module
The Listen Four Quarters is a four-channel stereo mixer for Eurorack systems, featuring two mono channels with panning and two stereo channels, designed to blend modular-level signals down to line-level outputs. It offers balanced 1/4-inch TRS outputs, a headphone output, and daisy-chain headers for expanding to 8, 12, or more channels with sub-mix capability, making it an essential utility module for live performance and studio integration.
Features
- Four input channels: two mono with Pan knobs (channels 1 and 2), two stereo with dual L/R inputs (channels 3 and 4)
- Fifth stereo channel accessible via INS header on the back
- Main 1/4-inch TRS balanced outputs with zero-impedance line driver
- Stereo TRS / Balanced switch for output configuration
- Separate Main Level knob for main outputs
- 1/8-inch stereo headphones output with independent Headphones Level knob
- Signal lights on each channel and main outputs indicating level and stereo content (blue = left, green = right)
- Pan knobs on channels 1 and 2 with center detent and psychoacoustically designed panning curve
- Mono input on channels 3 and 4 left jack normalizes to both outputs when right jack is unpatched
- Anti-pop circuitry that mutes main outputs during power-on to protect speakers
- INS header on back for receiving daisy-chained mix from another Listen module (47k input impedance)
- OUTS header on back for sending main mix to another Listen module or WAV Recorder (1k output impedance)
Controls & Jacks (20)
- Channel 1 Level — Sets the volume level for Channel 1 (mono input with pan). Fully left mutes the channel.
- Channel 2 Pan — Pans the mono signal from Channel 2 between left and right outputs. Center detent provides tactile centering.
- Channel 3 Level — Sets the volume level for Channel 3 (stereo input). Fully left mutes the channel.
- Channel 2 Input — Mono audio input for Channel 2
- Channel 1 Pan — Pans the mono signal from Channel 1 between left and right outputs. Center detent provides tactile centering.
- Channel 3 Left Input — Left channel input for stereo Channel 3
- Channel 4 Left Input — Left channel input for stereo Channel 4
- Channel 3 Right Input — Right channel input for stereo Channel 3
- Channel 1 Input — Mono audio input for Channel 1
- Channel 4 Level — Sets the volume level for Channel 4 (stereo input). Fully left mutes the channel.
- Main Output Left — Left channel balanced TRS output. Can output balanced stereo pair (L/R) or left channel only depending on switch position.
- Channel 4 Right Input — Right channel input for stereo Channel 4
- Headphones Level — Sets the headphones output volume independently from the Main Level knob.
- Main Output Right — Right channel balanced TRS output (always balanced stereo signal)
- INS Header — Auxiliary stereo input via 3-pin header (left bottom, right top, ground center) for daisy-chaining or connecting additional stereo sources.
- Channel 2 Level — Sets the volume level for Channel 2 (mono input with pan). Fully left mutes the channel.
- Main Level — Controls the volume of the main balanced 1/4" TRS outputs and the OUTS header. Fully left mutes outputs.
- Stereo TRS/Balanced — Selects output format: Balanced (down) for separate L/R outputs, or Stereo TRS (up) for L/R on single TRS cable in left jack. Always flip to
- Headphones Output — Stereo 1/8" (3.5mm) headphones output or auxiliary stereo output. Can drive 8-32 ohm headphones.
- OUTS Header — Main mix output via 3-pin header (left bottom, right top, ground center) for daisy-chaining to other Listen modules or WAV Recorder. Impedan
