The WAV Recorder by 4ms is a high-fidelity two-channel stereo audio recorder and basic playback module for Eurorack, storing lossless .wav files up to 96kHz/24-bit on a microSD card. It accepts a wide range of input signals from line-level to modular-level, features a trigger jack for synchronized multi-track recording, and can also serve as a stereo pre-amplifier providing up to +20dB of gain.

  • Left IN— Left channel audio input. Accepts line-level, headphone-level, or modular-level signals. Normalized to Right IN when nothing is patched into
  • Input Gain— Adjusts the gain of the input signal from -∞ (muted) to +20dB boost. 0dB position is center.
  • Right IN— Right channel audio input. Accepts line-level, headphone-level, or modular-level signals.
  • Left OUT— Left channel audio output for monitoring while recording or listening to playback.
  • Right OUT— Right channel audio output for monitoring while recording or listening to playback.

  • Busy— LED that indicates the module is busy writing to the SD card.
  • Busy Light— Red LED that illuminates when the microSD card is being read or written
  • Signal Meter— Eight LEDs (4 per channel) showing output signal level with clip indicators
