Acid Rain Technology Ziggurat

14 HP Eurorack module

Ziggurat is a four-channel Eurorack pitch quantizer that turns external CV, sampled CV, gates, random values, or entered note chains into musical pitch voltages.

Features

  • Four independently editable channels quantize incoming voltages to enabled notes.
  • Hold multiple channel buttons for 0.5 second to link their parameter editing; the first channel’s settings are copied to the other channels. Hold one linked channel for 0.5 second to unlink the group.
  • With CV and gate connected, each rising gate samples the CV before quantization. With only a gate connected, each rising edge generates a random input value.
  • An unpatched channel behaves as though its CV input is 0 V. With CV alone, the channel quantizes continuously as voltage thresholds are crossed.
  • Range confines the output to selected octaves, wrapping values that fall outside the range to the opposite end.
  • Slew can be enabled per note; one shared slew time applies to all slew-enabled notes on a channel or linked group.
  • Offset transposes before quantization, while Root applies a semitone offset after quantization to change the musical key.
  • Chain accepts a sequence of up to 32 notes at the quantizer input and previews notes at the output during entry. An applied chain cannot be edited.
  • The Mod input can be assigned to functions and routed per channel; all four channels are selected by default in the Mod menu.
  • With Chain selected as the Mod destination, crossing 1 V resets an applied chain or the repeatable random-voltage string produced in gate-only operation.
  • With Load selected as the Mod destination, a 1 V/oct signal from 0 V to 3 V addresses the 35 preset slots across 36 semitone voltages.
  • Changes are also autosaved separately and restored after power cycling.
