After Later Audio Quarks
Compact modal synthesis voice, acoustic resonance in 22hp
22 HP Eurorack module
Quarks is a 22hp Eurorack module by After Later Audio, a compact clone of Mutable Instruments Elements — a modal synthesis voice that models the physics of resonant objects excited by bowing, striking, and blowing. It combines an exciter section (bow and strike) with a resonator to produce organic, acoustic-sounding tones ranging from metallic bells and mallet instruments to bowed strings and blown resonators. Functionally equivalent to the original, it runs all Elements firmware variants and occupies a middle ground between the ultra-compact Atom and the full-size original.
Features
- Functionally equivalent to Mutable Instruments Elements
- 22hp compact form factor — smaller than original, larger than Atom

- FM modulation input
- Aux CV input for secondary modulation
- Master Level and Tone output controls with CV
- Module power connector reversible on module side
- Runs all Elements-compatible firmware variants
- 1-year warranty
