ALM Busy Circuits MEGA MILTON

All-analog Eurorack utilities in 8HP.

8 HP Eurorack module

MEGA MILTON is an 8HP all-analog Eurorack utility module with a stereo line-input converter, four-input mixer, gated slew limiter, sample and hold with white noise, and buffered mult.

Features

  • Four-input summing mixer; three inputs have fixed -6 dB attenuation.
  • Mixer input 4 has an attenuator and optional output; patching that output disconnects it from the main mix.
  • Mixer inputs are DC-coupled for audio and CV.
  • A gate at Slew Enable Input switches slew on and off.
  • Sample & Hold Output is normalled to Slew Input when Slew Input is unpatched.
  • Analog white noise, approximately 12 Vpp, is normalled to Sample & Hold Input when that input is unpatched.
  • Stereo Line Input is amplified to Eurorack level and split to left and right mono outputs; its fixed +12 dB gain can distort Eurorack signals.
  • One buffered input feeds three outputs, with polarity LEDs and a low-offset buffer.

Controls & Jacks (24)

  • Stereo Line Input— Stereo line-level input, amplified by a fixed +12 dB gain stage.
  • Mixer Attenuator Output— Output for the attenuated fourth mixer input; patching it removes Input 4 from the main mix.
  • Sample & Hold Trigger Input— Trigger input that captures the current Sample & Hold Input voltage.
  • Left Line Output— Amplified left-channel mono output.
  • Mixer Attenuator— Controls the level of Mixer Input 4; its output jack provides a standalone attenuator output and removes that signal from the mix when patch
  • Right Line Output— Amplified right-channel mono output.
  • Sample & Hold Input— Signal sampled on each trigger; normalled from the Noise Output when unpatched.
  • Mixer Input 4— DC-coupled mixer input controlled by the Mixer Attenuator.
  • Mixer Input 1— DC-coupled fixed -6 dB mixer input for audio or CV.
  • Slew Control— Increases the amount of slew applied to the Slew Input.
  • Buffered Mult Output 2— Second buffered copy of the Buffered Mult Input.
  • Buffered Mult Output 1— First buffered copy of the Buffered Mult Input.
  • Mixer Input 2— DC-coupled fixed -6 dB mixer input for audio or CV.
  • Sample & Hold Output— Held sampled-voltage output.
  • Noise Output— Analog white-noise output, approximately 12 Vpp.
  • Slew Input— Signal input to be smoothed; normalled from the Sample & Hold output when unpatched.
  • Buffered Mult Output 3— Third buffered copy of the Buffered Mult Input.
  • Mixer Input 3— DC-coupled fixed -6 dB mixer input for audio or CV.
  • Buffered Mult Input— Input distributed by the buffered mult; polarity LEDs monitor this signal.
  • Slew Output— Slewed output signal.
  • Mixer Output— Summed output of the four DC-coupled mixer inputs.
  • Slew Enable Input— Gate input that switches slew processing on and off.
  • Buffered Mult Negative— Indicates negative polarity at the Buffered Mult Input.
  • Buffered Mult Positive— Indicates positive polarity at the Buffered Mult Input.
