Antumbra Smog
Mini clouds of granular audio texture magic
8 HP Eurorack module
Smog is a compact 8HP redesign of the Mutable Instruments Clouds granular processor, offering real-time granular synthesis and audio texture manipulation in a smaller footprint. It captures incoming audio into a buffer and continuously re-synthesizes it as overlapping grains, producing lush clouds of sound ranging from gentle shimmer and freeze effects to dense, otherworldly textural mayhem. A faithful port of the original Clouds firmware, it brings the same musical character — from subtle reverb-like smearing to extreme pitch-shifted granular chaos — in a space-saving format.
