Befaco Joystick
Two-axis gestural CV controller for expressive live performance
12 HP Eurorack module
The Befaco Joystick is a two-axis CV controller for Eurorack that outputs continuously variable voltages on X and Y axes, with attenuators and offset controls for each axis. It features two gate buttons with corresponding gate inputs and outputs, making it a highly expressive performance controller for manipulating synthesizer parameters in real time. Its musical character is hands-on and gestural, ideal for live performance, morphing between timbres, or modulating multiple parameters simultaneously.
Features
- Two-axis joystick with independent X and Y CV outputs
- Per-axis attenuator potentiometer (100K) for scaling CV output range
- Per-axis offset potentiometer (100K) for shifting CV center point
- Two gate push buttons (MGATE_1, MGATE_2) for triggering gates manually
- Two gate inputs (Gate In 1, Gate In 2) for external gate signals
- Two gate outputs (Gate Out 1, Gate Out 2)
- Dual white LEDs (LEDX, LEDY) indicating X and Y axis activity
- Two red gate LEDs (LED_G1, LED_G2) indicating gate status
- Six TL072 op-amp ICs for signal conditioning and buffering
- Schottky diodes (1N5817) for power protection
- Eurorack power via 16-pin ribbon cable with -12V polarity protection
