Befaco Oneiroi
Dreaming synthesizer for ambient drones and living soundscapes
30 HP Eurorack module
Oneiroi is an experimental stereo synthesizer module designed for creating ambient pads, drones, and evolving soundscapes. It combines a 5-second looper, three oscillators, four effects units, self-modulation, and a powerful randomizer into a deeply interconnected instrument built on Rebel Technology's OWL platform.
Features
- Powered by OWL mk3 platform with 24-bit 48kHz stereo audio and 32-bit internal processing
- Stereo input with three gain levels (high-impedance, line-level, Eurorack) and two-color LED peak meter
- Stereo output at Eurorack level with left channel normalling to right
- 5-second looper with continuous varispeed control from 2x reverse to 2x forward with virtual detents
- Sound-on-sound (SOS) recording with adjustable old material preservation level
- DJ-style filter on looper SOS signal with HPF/LPF via Shift + LENGTH knob
- Looper buffer prefilled with white noise by default; wavetable oscillator reads from looper buffer
- Stereo Sine oscillator
- Stereo Supersaw oscillator with detune control inspired by Roland JP-8000 (7 saws)
- 2048-sample dynamic wavetable oscillator using looper buffer with 32 wavetable slots
- Single V/Oct input common to all three oscillators with 10-octave tracking (0V to 10V)
- 8-octave pitch range from C0 to C7 with +/-6 semitone fine pitch control
