Befaco Pony VCF
Compact ladder VCF plus VCA plus three-channel mixer
6 HP Eurorack module
Pony VCF is a compact 6HP Eurorack module combining a voltage-controlled low-pass filter, VCA, and three-channel mixer in a single unit. Built around the Sound Semiconductor SSI2144 FATKEYS chip using Dave Rossum's enhanced ladder topology, it delivers the elegant warmth of classic transistor filters without associated distortions. Frequency and Q temperature compensation, plus resonance-compensated output level, keep the sound balanced and musical across all settings.
Features
- SSI2144 FATKEYS chip based on Dave Rossum's enhanced ladder topology
- Voltage-controlled low-pass filter with frequency and Q temperature compensation
- Output level compensated against resonance to maintain perceived volume at high Q
- Three-channel audio mixer with individual fader attenuators
- Integrated VCA at the end of the signal chain
- Two filter CV inputs (CV1 with attenuator, CV2 direct)
- Dedicated Resonance CV input
- Dedicated Volume CV input for VCA control
- CV1 MODE SWITCH: routes CV1 to VCA or applies fixed 10V for always-open VCA
- Audio OUT normalled to IN3 for easy self-feedback patching
- Peak meter with green signal-present LED and red saturation LED
- 6HP compact footprint
