Qu-Bit Electronix Bloom
Fractal sequencer growing infinitely evolving melodies from one seed
16 HP Eurorack module
Bloom is a Qu-Bit Electronix fractal sequencer with two independent channels, each capable of generating evolving melodic patterns through mutation and branching algorithms. It features scale quantization, clock division/multiplication, ratchets, slew, and extensive CV control for generative music applications.
Features
- Fractal sequencer with recursive tree generation from user-programmed trunk sequence
- Two independent channels each with up to 32-step trunk sequences
- Up to 256 steps of generated fractal sequence per channel (7 branches deep, 128 paths)
- Generative modifications: transposition, inversion, reversal, and mutation
- Path control determines traversal direction through fractal branch tree
- Branches control sets depth of fractal recursion from 0 to 7 additional branches
- Mutation control introduces randomness into trunk sequence notes
- Per-step slew control with independent amounts per step
- Per-step ratchets allow repeating a step for multiple clock pulses
- Per-step gate length control with 8 lengths from 6ms trigger to tied
- Scale quantization: Chromatic, Major, Minor, Major Pentatonic, Minor Pentatonic, Harmonic Minor, Whole Tone, Unquantized
- Playback order: Forward, Backward, Pendulum, Random
