Circuit Abbey's original 2010 Eurorack module: a voltage-controlled asymmetrical wavefolder built around a DC-coupled Diode Breakpoint Warper. A main signal runs through an input attenuator into the warper while four bipolar CV channels — Inclination, Eccentricity, Longitude and Latitude, each with attenuator and bias — are summed to warp the positive and negative halves of the waveform independently. Results range from subtle asymmetry to heavy folding and voltage-controlled 2nd/3rd-harmonic distortion.
Features
- Asymmetrical wavefolder / wave warper based on a Diode Breakpoint Warper
- Four independent CV warp channels: Inclination, Eccentricity, Longitude, Latitude
- Per-channel attenuator (Atten) and Bias offset on every CV channel
- Inclination warps both waveform polarities equally
- Eccentricity increases positive warp while decreasing negative warp
- Longitude increases positive-half warp only
- Latitude increases negative-half warp only
- DC-coupled throughout — warps audio, LFOs, envelopes and pitch CV
- All inputs bipolar: negative CV reduces the Bias-set warpage
- Main Input has its own attenuator and can also accept CV or DC
- Doubles as a voltage-controlled distortion device (2nd/3rd harmonic)
- Summing matrix mixes all four CV channels to drive the warper
