Verbos Electronics Verbos Complex Oscillator
Buchla-inspired dual oscillator with harmonic waveshaping
32 HP Eurorack module
The Verbos Complex Oscillator is a dual-oscillator Eurorack module inspired by the Buchla 259 Complex Waveform Generator, featuring a primary carrier oscillator with a wavefolder and harmonic manipulation section, and a secondary modulation oscillator. It produces an extremely wide spectrum of thick, harmonically rich timbres through FM, waveshaping, and additive-style harmonic mixing, making every setting feel like a sweet spot.
Features
- Dual oscillator design with carrier and modulation oscillator sections
- Modulation oscillator is unipolar — requires external bipolar VCO for conventional bipolar FM
- Exponential FM via the internal FM modulation bus
- Linear FM available via direct patch to carrier
- Wavefolder with six individual harmonic controls (Harmonic 1-6)
- Harmonic Mix knob blends the harmonically folded signal
- Harmonic Shift knob shifts the harmonic content
- Individual CV inputs for each of the six harmonic controls
- Sync input syncs the Modulation oscillator to the carrier oscillator
- Multiple simultaneous waveform outputs: Sine, Sawtooth, Square, Triangle, Complex, All
- V/Oct tracking on carrier oscillator
- Inspired by the Buchla 259 Complex Waveform Generator
