The Ewa Expander is a companion module for the Dnipro Modular Krait, adding CV modulation routing and clock/reset outputs to extend the Krait's functionality. It allows external CV signals to be routed to a wide range of Krait parameters including LFO, Random Generator, Knob Recorder, and Mixer destinations, giving performers hands-on modular control over the Krait's internal engines.
Features
- Three CV inputs accepting -5v to +5v for modulating Krait parameters
- CV routing menu to assign any CV input to any destination parameter with adjustable amount
- Modulation destinations across four Krait sections: Knob Recorder, LFO, Random Generator, and Mixer
- Clock output (CLO OUT) with encoder-tunable parameters
- Reset output (RES OUT)
- Connected to Krait via dedicated ribbon cable
- EWA FOUND confirmation message on Krait display at boot
- Supports waveform morphing, slew, amplitude, loop length, mix, phase, rate, and offset modulation targets
- Requires latest Krait firmware for full functionality
Controls & Jacks (10)
- Encoder — Encoder
- CV IN 1 — Accepts -5V to +5V. In mixer routing context, this is the INA signal (channel 1 mixed with channel 3). Route via CV routing menu to any Krai
- CLOCK OUT — Outputs clock signal. Rate and parameters tunable via CLO button and Encoder.
- CV IN 2 — Accepts -5V to +5V. General-purpose CV input, fully assignable to any modulation destination.
- RESET OUT — Outputs reset pulse. Use alongside CLOCK OUT to sync external modules.
- Clock Menu — Clock Menu
- CV 2 Select — Selects CV input 2 as the source being routed and edited in Krait's CV routing menu.
- CV IN 3 — Accepts -5V to +5V. In mixer routing context, this is the INB signal (channel 3 mixed with channel 1). Route via CV routing menu to any Krai
- CV 3 Select — Selects CV input 3 as the source being routed and edited in Krait's CV routing menu.
