The A-106-1 X-treme Filter is a unique voltage-controlled low/high pass filter inspired by the Korg MS20, featuring separate audio inputs for low and high pass with a single output, independent clipping controls, and a resonance insert loop. It is musically wild and unpredictable, capable of extreme distortion, self-oscillation pulses, pseudo band pass and notch responses, and sounds not achievable with any other filter in the A-100 system.

• Separate LP and HP audio inputs with a single audio output
• HP input normalled to LP input when no plug is inserted
• HP Level control operates as a polarizer (add or subtract HP from LP signal)
• 12dB/octave low pass filter slope
• 6dB/octave high pass filter slope
• Pseudo notch filter response via matched LP/HP levels with same polarity
• Pseudo band pass filter response via matched LP/HP levels with opposite polarity
• Independent positive clipping control (CL+)
• Independent negative clipping control (CL-)
• Asymmetrical clipping capability for unique distortion and waveshaping
• Resonance up to self-oscillation
• Self-oscillation generates pulses or sawtooth shapes rather than sine waves
