Doepfer A-134-2 VC Crossfader
Voltage-controlled stereo panning and input crossfading
4 HP Eurorack module
The A-134 (PAN) is a voltage-controlled panning module that routes audio signals either between two inputs to one output (input mixing mode) or from one input to two outputs (output panning mode). It contains two matched linear VCAs and a mixer, enabling dynamic stereo placement controlled by CV sources such as LFOs, envelopes, sequencers, or random voltage generators. Its musical character is smooth, linear, and highly modulation-friendly, making it ideal for animated stereo fields and crossfading between sound sources.
Features
- Two matched linear VCAs for smooth, artifact-free panning
- Input mixing mode: crossfade between two audio inputs to a single Mix Output
- Output panning mode: position one audio signal across Left and Right outputs
- Manual Pan knob for static or manually swept panning
- CV 1 input for direct control voltage panning
- CV 2 input with dedicated attenuator knob for scaled control voltage
- Panning amount governed by sum of Pan knob and CV inputs
- Two LEDs provide visual indication of signal levels at outputs
- Lev 1 and Lev 2 attenuators for setting incoming audio signal levels independently
- Audio In 2 is a normalled (switched) socket that auto-connects to Audio In 1 when nothing is patched
- Mix Output provided in addition to Left and Right outputs
Controls & Jacks (14)
