The A-140-2 is a dual ADSR envelope generator providing two independent four-stage envelopes for shaping amplitude, filter cutoff, or any voltage-controlled parameter. Each envelope features classic Attack, Decay, Sustain, and Release stages with voltage control over timing parameters, making it essential for traditional subtractive synthesis and dynamic modulation.

Controls & Jacks (18)
- Attack 1 — Attack time for envelope 1. Controls how quickly the envelope rises to peak after gate on.
- Decay 1 — Decay time for envelope 1. Controls how quickly the envelope falls from peak to sustain level.
- Sustain 1 — Sustain level for envelope 1. Sets the held level while gate is high.
- Release 1 — Release time for envelope 1. Controls how quickly the envelope falls to zero after gate off.
- Attack 2 — Attack time for envelope 2.
- Decay 2 — Decay time for envelope 2.
- Sustain 2 — Sustain level for envelope 2.
- Release 2 — Release time for envelope 2.
- CVT 1 — CV time input for envelope 1. Modulates all time parameters simultaneously.
- Gate 1 — Gate input for envelope 1. Rising edge starts attack, falling edge starts release.
- CVT 2 — CV time input for envelope 2.
- Gate 2 — Gate input for envelope 2.
- Retrig 1 — Retrigger input for envelope 1. Restarts attack phase without requiring gate off/on.
- Retrig 2 — Retrigger input for envelope 2.
- Out2 Ch1 — Second envelope output for channel 1.
- Out1 Ch1 — Primary envelope output for channel 1.
- Out2 Ch2 — Second envelope output for channel 2.
- Out1 Ch2 — Primary envelope output for channel 2.
