Dual sample and hold for random staircase voltages

The A-148 Dual S&H contains two independent sample & hold modules that capture and freeze instantaneous voltages, producing classic 'staircase' voltage patterns. Each sub-module can operate in S&H mode (samples on trigger edge) or T&H mode (tracks input while trigger is high, holds on trigger low), making it ideal for generating random melodic sequences, rhythmic CV patterns, and glissando effects.
Features
- Two independent identical sample and hold sub-modules
- S&H mode: samples on rising edge of trigger signal
- T&H mode: tracks input while trigger high, holds on trigger low
- Dual LEDs per channel indicate positive or negative sampled voltage
- Voltage range -12V to +12V supported on modules manufactured from August 2005
- Older version supports -8V to +8V sample input range
- Jumper-selectable S&H or T&H mode per sub-module (post-August 2005 version)
- Factory default: S&H upper device, T&H lower device
- Triggering occurs on leading edge of trigger waveform regardless of pulse width
- Produces staircase voltages for random patterns (with noise) or rising/falling patterns (with LFO)
