Doepfer A-155-2
Compact 8-step analog CV/Gate sequencer with ratcheting and 8 presets in 12HP
12 HP Eurorack module
The Doepfer A-155-2 is a miniaturized rework of the classic A-155 analog sequencer, packed into 12HP. It generates an 8-step CV and Gate sequence driven by an external clock. Each step has a dedicated CV knob and an illuminated step button that toggles the gate on/off and doubles as a programming surface for sequence length, running direction (8 modes including pendulum and random), per-step ratcheting (x2/x3/x4), and 8 user-recallable presets. CV output is non-quantized but switchable across 1V, 2V, or 4V ranges, with an internal MIDI pin header for driving an external MIDI-to-CV interface when quantized pitch is required.
Features
- 8-step analog sequencer with simultaneous CV and Gate outputs
- Per-step CV knob (1-8) with switchable 1V/2V/4V output range
- 8 illuminated step buttons that toggle gate-on/gate-off per step
- 8 running directions: Up, Down, 2x Up, 2x Down, Pendulum 1, Pendulum 2, 2x Pendulum, Random
- Adjustable sequence length (1 to 8 steps) via Limit programming
- Per-step ratcheting at x2, x3, or x4 multiplication
- 8 user-recallable presets (gate pattern + length + direction + ratcheting)
- External clock input (no internal clock generator); accepts up to >10kHz
- External reset input with jumper-selectable polarity, edge/level, and reset mode
- Internal MIDI pin header for driving an external MIDI-to-CV interface
- Compact 12HP / 60.6mm / 50mm depth — successor to original 80HP A-155
- Gate output 0V/+10V; CV output non-quantized analog
