Doepfer A-160-2 Clock Divider
Binary and prime clock division for polyrhythmic complexity
4 HP Eurorack module
The A-160-2 is a clock divider module that takes an incoming clock or trigger signal and outputs divided sub-frequencies from /2 to /128, with selectable binary or prime number division ratios. Its ability to generate polyrhythmic and polymeter patterns from a single clock source gives it a distinctly generative and rhythmically complex musical character.
Features
- Clock division from /2 to /128 in binary mode
- Prime number division mode with ratios /2, /3, /5, /7, /11, /13, /17
- Selectable trigger pulse or constant gate output mode
- Seven simultaneous division outputs available at once
- Individual LEDs for each division output
- Reset input via CI jack for synchronization
- Improved version of the original A-160 with two additional mode switches
- Zero negative rail current draw
