The A-170 Dual Slew Limiter is a portamento and envelope shaping module containing two independent slew limiters that smooth abrupt voltage transitions into gradual glides. The upper SL offers a single joint rise/fall time control ideal for precision portamento, while the lower SL provides separate rise and fall controls with a three-position time range switch, making it usable as a simple AR envelope generator with musical sweep and glide effects.

- Two independent slew limiters in one module
- Upper SL: single joint rise/fall time control (0 to 10 seconds)
- Lower SL: separate rise and fall time controls
- Three-position time range switch on lower SL: Low (0~0.5s), Medium (0~10s), High (0~minutes)
- Lower SL usable as simple AR envelope generator
- Two LEDs per slew limiter indicating rising and falling voltage states
- Upper SL recommended for precision 1V/octave portamento work
- Lower SL has diode-based circuit with approximately 0.5V offset, unsuitable for precision pitch CV
- Actual times depend on the amount of voltage change
