Doepfer A-176 CV Source
Three manual CV sources, two with coarse + fine and dual outputs.
8 HP Eurorack module
The Doepfer A-176 is a manual control voltage source providing three independent voltages from one 8 HP module. Channels 1 and 2 each pair a coarse knob (~5 V span) with a fine knob (~0.1 V span) and feed two internally normalled parallel outputs, so a single CV can drive two destinations without an external multiple. Channel 3 has only the single coarse knob and one output. The voltage range of each channel is set by an internal jumper on the PCB to either 0 V to +5 V (unipolar) or -2.5 V to +2.5 V (bipolar around zero), letting you tailor each source to the destination it is patched into.
Features
- Three independent manual CV sources in 8 HP
- Coarse + fine knob pair on channels 1 and 2
- Single coarse knob on channel 3
- Two parallel (normalled) outputs on each of CV1 and CV2 — built-in mult
- Single output on CV3
- Fine knob covers approximately 0.1 V — true precision tuning
- Coarse knob covers approximately 5 V — full source range
- Per-channel jumper for unipolar (0 to +5 V) or bipolar (-2.5 V to +2.5 V) range
- No internal CV inputs or modulation — pure manual source
- DC-coupled outputs suitable for pitch, gain, cutoff, transpose
- Compatible companion for A-110 standard VCO (adds the missing fine tune)
- Doepfer A-100 system module — discontinued, replaced by A-180-6 / A-183-5
Controls & Jacks (10)
- CV 1 — Coarse adjustment for CV1. Sweeps the full range of the source (~5 V span). Routed in parallel to both CV1 outputs.
- CV 1 Fine — Fine adjustment for CV1, layered on top of the coarse knob. Range is approximately 0.1 V — useful for precise tuning.
- CV 1 Out A — First parallel output for CV source 1. Voltage is set by the CV 1 coarse and CV 1 Fine knobs combined.
- CV 1 Out B — Second parallel output for CV source 1, internally connected to Out A. Lets a single CV feed two destinations without an external multiple.
- CV 2 — Coarse adjustment for CV2. Sweeps the full range of the source (~5 V span). Routed in parallel to both CV2 outputs.
- CV 2 Fine — Fine adjustment for CV2, layered on top of the coarse knob. Range is approximately 0.1 V — useful for precise tuning.
- CV 2 Out A — First parallel output for CV source 2. Voltage is set by the CV 2 coarse and CV 2 Fine knobs combined.
- CV 2 Out B — Second parallel output for CV source 2, internally connected to Out A. Lets a single CV feed two destinations without an external multiple.
- CV 3 — Single adjustment for CV3. Sweeps the full range of the source (~5 V span). No fine control on this channel.
- CV 3 Out — Output for CV source 3, set entirely by the CV 3 knob.
