4 HP Eurorack module
The A-184-1 combines a ring modulator, a Sample & Hold / Track & Hold unit, and a slew limiter into a compact 4 HP module. It is designed for systems where dedicated modules for each function are unnecessary, offering classic analog signal mangling, stepped random voltage generation, and smooth glide in a single space-efficient package. Musically it excels at metallic timbres, random melodic sequences, and portamento-style transitions.
Features
- Ring modulator section identical to half of the A-114 module
- X and Y inputs with X*Y output for ring modulation
- Sample & Hold mode triggered on rising edge of trigger signal
- Track & Hold mode that follows input while trigger is high and holds when trigger goes low
- Internal jumper selects between S&H and T&H modes
- Slew limiter follows S&H/T&H section with manual Slew Time control
- Trigger input normalled to high so module works as slew limiter without any patch cables
- All three functions available simultaneously from one 4 HP module
- Combines functionality of A-114, A-148, and A-170 in a single small module
