DPW Design SW3 Splice

Wavesplicing made simple.

6 HP Eurorack module

A fully analog, dual-channel wave-splicing module that switches audio or control signals using zero-crossing, slope-aware, or hard switching. Its channels can operate independently, as a linked stereo pair, or as a mono-to-stereo router.

Features

  • Splices two signals using click-free or traditional hard switching.
  • Fully analog signal path with no added latency or phase delay.
  • Processes audio, control signals, or a mixture of them, from line level through high Eurorack level.
  • Supports manual or CV-controlled operation with two click-free modes and direct hard switching.
  • Operates as dual mono, stereo-coupled switching, or mono-to-stereo switching.
  • The 1 to 2 Link copies A1 to A2 and B1 to B2; patching A2 or B2 replaces its respective copied signal.
  • Unpatched A and B inputs are internally connected to 0 V, allowing one patched signal to be spliced against silence.
  • In Hard mode, each analog switch is bidirectional: Common can accept a signal that is routed to A or B.
  • Each ON logic output is 5 V while A is selected and 0 V while B is selected.
  • Through impedance is 20 ohms. Remember to keep current through a switch below 30 mA to avoid damaging it.
  • Reverse-power protected.

Controls & Jacks (24)

  • Channel 2 B Selected— Indicates that input B2 is currently selected by the second analog switch.
  • Channel 1 B Selected— Indicates that input B1 is currently selected by the first analog switch.
  • Channel 2 A Selected— Indicates that input A2 is currently selected by the second analog switch.
  • Channel 1 A Selected— Indicates that input A1 is currently selected by the first analog switch.
  • B2 Input— Secondary signal input for Channel 2; it is compared with A2 and selected to OUT 2 according to the switching logic.
  • Common 1— Common analog-switch port for Channel 1. Normally outputs the selected A1 or B1 signal; in Hard mode it can accept a signal routed to A1 or
  • ON 1 Logic Output— Channel 1 logic output: 5 V while A1 is selected and 0 V while B1 is selected.
  • ON 2 Logic Output— Channel 2 logic output: 5 V while A2 is selected and 0 V while B2 is selected.
  • R2 Reset Input— Rising-edge reset input for Channel 2; a high signal hard-resets selection to A.
  • B1 Input— Secondary signal input for Channel 1; it is compared with A1 and selected to OUT 1 according to the switching logic.
  • D2 Control Input— Control input for Channel 2 switching logic. A signal above 1 V requests A; audio or logic signals may be used.
  • A2 Input— Primary signal input for Channel 2; it is compared with B2 and selected to OUT 2 according to the switching logic.
  • Common 2— Common analog-switch port for Channel 2. Normally outputs the selected A2 or B2 signal; in Hard mode it can accept a signal routed to A2 or
  • R1 Reset Input— Rising-edge reset input for Channel 1; a high signal hard-resets selection to A.
  • D1 Control Input— Control input for Channel 1 switching logic. A signal above 1 V requests A; audio or logic signals may be used.
  • A1 Input— Primary signal input for Channel 1; it is compared with B1 and selected to OUT 1 according to the switching logic.
  • Channel 2 Mode— Selects zero-crossing switching, zero-crossing plus matching-slope switching, or direct hard switching for channel 2.
  • Channel 1 Division— Selects divide-by-four, no division, or divide-by-two for the first channel's eligible A/B equality events.
  • Channel 1 Mode— Selects zero-crossing switching, zero-crossing plus matching-slope switching, or direct hard switching for channel 1.
  • Channel 2 Control— Three-position selector that forces A2, automatically toggles between A2 and B2 when their voltages are equal, or forces B2, subject to the
  • 1 to 2 Link— When enabled, copies the Channel 1 A1 and B1 signals to Channel 2; a plug inserted into A2 or B2 overrides its respective copy. The down pos
  • Channel 2 Division— Selects divide-by-four, no division, or divide-by-two for the second channel's eligible A/B equality events.
  • Stereo Mode— Selects Swap mono-to-stereo routing, independent dual-mono operation, or Stereo linking in which channel 1 controls both switches.
  • Channel 1 Control— Three-position selector that forces A1, automatically toggles between A1 and B1 when their voltages are equal, or forces B1, subject to the
