Dreadbox Utopia
Four attenuinverters, mixer, LFO, and Pulserizer in one
10 HP Eurorack module
The Dreadbox Utopia is a compact Eurorack utility module combining four attenuinverters, a four-channel mixer, a Pulserizer (compressed VCA-style processor), an offset generator, and a square-wave LFO. It is designed to be a multi-purpose signal manipulation tool with hidden functions including a splitter and square wave LFO, making it a versatile workhorse for shaping, mixing, and modulating signals in a modular system.
Features
- Four attenuinverters with individual inputs, amount knobs, and outputs
- Four-channel mixer with inputs normalised to attenuinverter outputs
- Three identical mixer sections
- Pulserizer — a compressed VCA-style processor with input normalised to mixer output
- Pulserizer output sends +/-5V
- Offset generator with knob and output sending +/-10V, normalised to mixer unless dummy cable inserted
- LFO with triangle output sending +/-5V, normalised to mixer unless dummy cable inserted
- LFO CV input accepting +/-5V for rate modulation
- Hidden splitter function
- Hidden square wave LFO function
- Dummy cable technique to isolate LFO or Offset from mixer routing
- Attenuinverters support both attenuation and inversion of signals
