Emute Lab Instruments Myriad
16 HP Eurorack module
Myriad is a nine-oscillator Eurorack voice for large, dynamic stereo sounds. Its oscillators mix, detune and intermodulate, with algorithmic meta-modulation, analog waveshaping, overdrive and five CV inputs.
Features
- Nine oscillators mix, detune and intermodulate to produce complex tones, motion and stereo width.
- Separate clean and shaped stereo outputs provide signals before and after waveshaping and overdrive.
- Each left output supplies a mono sum when used alone; patching its matching right output splits the oscillators across the stereo pair.
- VCA CV accepts 0-5 V, controlling clean-output volume and working with Drive on the shaped outputs.
- The 1V/Oct, Spread CV, ϵ CV and Interval CV inputs are bipolar attenverted inputs; without a patch, their normalized 5 V source enables bipolar manual control.
- The shaped path uses a VCA-driven two-stage wavefolder followed by analog overdrive.
- Visible pink and blue LEDs perform the overdrive clipping and show its activity.
- Meta-modulation can target pitch, ϵ or both; X controls speed and Z controls depth, while pressing Z cycles the target.
- The tuning screen provides octave, semitone and cent adjustment plus tuning bypass, affecting incoming pitch CV and the Frequency control.
- Startup state can retain each bank's oscillator model and the selected meta-modulator, depth, speed and target.
