Erica Synths × Sonic Potions Black Wavetable VCO
16-bank wavetable VCO with VC bank surf, wave morph, bitcrush, sub osc and built-in VCA
12 HP Eurorack module
Erica Synths Black Wavetable VCO is a 12HP digital wavetable oscillator with 16 banks of 16 waves each (vowels, FM, classical synth, Erica modular and more), expandable via ROM chip swaps. The single Wave knob crossfades between waves within the active bank with seamless morphing, the Bank button steps through banks (LEDs show the index in binary), and a configurable CV input can target wavesurf, banksurf, FM or built-in VCA depending on a long-press selection. A switchable suboscillator output offers three voices at -1 / -2 octaves, and the assignable Bitcrush adds digital crush from clean to destroyed. Frequency range is 30Hz–5kHz with selectable Coarse (10 octaves) or Fine (±2 semitones) range.

Controls & Jacks (17)
- Frequency — Main frequency control — sets the base pitch of the wavetable oscillator across a wide range.
- Bank — Selects the wavetable bank. Each bank contains a different set of waveforms to morph through.
- Fine — Fine frequency tuning for precise pitch adjustment around the coarse setting.
- Bank LED 1 — Indicates the currently selected wavetable bank (position 1).
- Bank LED 2 — Indicates the currently selected wavetable bank (position 2).
- Bank LED 3 — Indicates the currently selected wavetable bank (position 3).
- Bank LED 4 — Indicates the currently selected wavetable bank (position 4).
- Wave — Morphs through the waveforms within the selected bank. Smoothly interpolates between adjacent wavetable positions.
- Bitcrush — Reduces the bit depth of the output signal, adding digital distortion and lo-fi character.
- Sub Select — Sub-oscillator division selector (1/2/3) — chooses the sub-oscillator octave ratio.
- Wave CV — Attenuator for the Wave CV input, controlling how much external CV modulates the wavetable position.
- CV Level — Attenuator for the main CV input, scaling the amount of external CV applied to the frequency.
- 1V/Oct — 1V/Oct pitch tracking input for standard chromatic tuning control.
- Wave CV In — CV input for modulating the wavetable position — sweeps through waveforms via external voltage.
- CV In — General CV input for frequency modulation.
- Sub Out — Sub-oscillator output — outputs a square wave one or two octaves below the main oscillator.
- Out — Main audio output of the wavetable oscillator.
