The Erica Synths Black VCO2 is a fully analogue, highly stable voltage-controlled oscillator with simultaneous sine, triangle, saw, and pulse wave outputs plus a transistor-based suboscillator. It features a built-in saw waveshaper, two internal modulation LFOs, and hard sync, giving it a rich, organic character that goes well beyond a typical VCO. Paired with the Black VCO Expander, it becomes a massive waveform mixing and shaping sound source.

- Transistor-based -1 octave suboscillator with rounded squarewave character
- Highly accurate tracking across at least 8 octaves
- Saw waveshaper with manual and CV control and internal LFO
- Manually adjustable and CV-controlled pulse width
- Exponential and linear FM input with attenuator
- Two built-in modulation LFOs (one for saw waveshaper, one for PWM)
- Hard sync input
- 7-position octave switch spanning C0 to C8
- 10Vptp audio output amplitude
- PWM CV sweeps pulse width from approximately 2% to approximately 98%
- FM/PWM CV attenuator affects both CVs simultaneously
