Erica Synths Pico EG
Tiny 3HP envelope generator and auto-switching LFO
3 HP Eurorack module
The Erica Synths Pico EG is a compact 3HP envelope generator and LFO offering AD or ASR envelope modes with selectable short, medium, and long time ranges and switchable linear or logarithmic curve shapes. When no gate signal is patched, the module automatically enters LFO mode, generating a bipolar -5V to +5V output with variable waveshape. Its musical character is punchy and flexible, equally suited to snappy percussive envelopes and slow evolving modulation sweeps.
Features
- Selectable AD (Attack-Decay) or ASR (Attack-Sustain-Release) envelope modes
- Three envelope duration ranges: Short (A 200ms / R 500ms), Medium (A 400ms / R 1000ms), Long (A 600ms / R 2000ms)
- Selectable linear or logarithmic envelope curve shapes
- Automatic LFO mode when no gate cable is patched
- LFO frequency range 0.38 Hz to 1.43 Hz with variable waveshape via Attack and Decay/Release knobs
- Envelope output 0V to 10V unipolar
- LFO output -5V to +5V bipolar
- Output signal level LED indicator
- 3HP module width
Controls & Jacks (8)
- Decay/Release — Selects decay/release time: Short (500ms), Medium (1000ms), or Long (2000ms). Also controls falling edge of LFO in LFO mode
- Attack — Selects attack time: Short (200ms), Medium (400ms), or Long (600ms)
- Shape — Switches between linear or logarithmic envelope shapes
- Gate/Trigger Input — Patch gate signal here to trigger the envelope. When no cable is patched, module automatically switches to LFO mode
- Envelope Output — Envelope generator output (0V-10V) or LFO output (-5V to +5V)
- LOG
- Lin/Log — Switches between linear or logarithmic envelope shapes
- AD/ASR — Selects between AD (attack-decay) or ASR (attack-sustain-release) envelope modes
