Expert Sleepers General CV
General MIDI synthesizer and CV-to-MIDI powerhouse for Eurorack
12 HP Eurorack module
The General CV is a Eurorack module combining a powerful General MIDI synthesizer, a multichannel CV-to-MIDI converter, and a host processor capable of generating rich MIDI data from incoming control voltages or algorithmically. It offers modes ranging from simple CV-to-MIDI conversion and VCO emulation to chord generation, arpeggiators, drum triggering, and MIDI file playback, giving a modular system access to the full palette of 128 General MIDI sounds with stereo audio output.
Features
- 128 General MIDI sounds with full GM sound set
- 9 CV inputs: 2 digital (X, Y), 3 unipolar 10-bit (1-3), 4 bipolar 14-bit (4-7)

Controls & Jacks (16)
- Encoder B — Adjust parameter, advance to next parameter page, scroll through pages when held
- R Output — Stereo audio output (right channel) from the General MIDI synthesizer, approximately +/-8V.
- Encoder D — Multi-function encoder D. Adjusts parameters, displays mode-specific information when pressed.
- Encoder E — Multi-function encoder E. Adjusts parameters for the fifth channel or function group.
- Input 6 — High-resolution bipolar CV input +/-5V (14-bit). Function depends on mode: quantizer key, key, speed, etc.
- L Output — Stereo audio output (left channel) from the General MIDI synthesizer, approximately +/-8V.
- Input 4 — High-resolution bipolar CV input +/-5V (14-bit). Function depends on mode: pitch (1V/oct), file select, etc.
- Encoder C — Multi-function encoder C. Adjusts parameters, returns to first parameter page when pressed.
- Encoder A — Multi-function encoder A. Navigates menu system and adjusts parameters. Functions vary by mode (General MIDI program select, wavetable posit
- Input 5 — High-resolution bipolar CV input +/-5V (14-bit). Function depends on mode: velocity, speed (exponential), etc.
- Input 3 — Analog CV input 0-5V (10-bit). Function depends on mode: reverb send, chorus send, scale, etc.
- X Input — Digital input jack X. Functions as gate, clock, or trigger depending on the selected mode.
- Input 7 — Analog CV input 0-5V (10-bit). Function depends on mode: program select, drum, gate, etc.
- Input 2 — Analog CV input 0-5V (10-bit). Function depends on mode: modulation wheel, reverb send, arp mode, etc.
- Y Input — Digital input jack Y. Functions as sustain pedal, retrigger, or reset depending on mode.
- I Input — Digital input jack I. Functions as MIDI input for receiving external MIDI data.
