Funkstill Filter Threek 13700
Analog three-pole morphing filter
14 HP Eurorack module
Filter Threek 13700 is an analog three-pole morphing filter with six continuously blendable, CV-modulatable filter types.
Features
- Self-oscillation, continuous voltage-controlled mode, voltage-controlled resonance, linear FM, waveshaping between modes, and two assignable CV inputs.
- A diode circuit, rather than VCAs, continuously crossfades between filter modes.
- At the centre transition, the signal is inverted and behaves as a blend of rectifier and filter.
- With Resonance fully clockwise, the filter self-oscillates as a sine wave that can be played tonally via 1V/Oct.
Controls & Jacks (31)
- Frequency— Sets the filter cutoff frequency.
- Mode Toggle Enable— Enables automatic or externally controlled switching between the alternate middle filter-mode variations.
- Resonance Type— Selects one of two additional resonance-character variations.
- CV1 Amount— Bipolar attenuverter for the CV1 Input.
- Resonance— Sets filter resonance; fully counter-clockwise drives the filter into self-oscillation.
- Mode CV Input— CV input for continuously morphing the filter mode, including audio-rate modulation.
- CV2 Polarity— Turns CV2 off, on, or inverts its polarity.
- Mode Toggle Input— Control input for switching the two middle mode variations when Mode Toggle Enable is on.
- 3 Pole Output— Main three-pole filter output, providing the selected and continuously morphed filter mode.
- 1 Pole Input— One-pole filter signal input; use this input with Input Level fully counter-clockwise to obtain only the one-pole output contribution.
- CV2 Amount— Sets the attenuation of the CV2 Input.
- CV2 Input— Assignable CV input with attenuation; it can modulate frequency, mode, or AC-coupled linear FM and has destination-dependent internal normal
- 2 Pole Output— Two-pole filter output, providing LP, HP, BP, or all-pass responses according to the Mode setting.
- 1V/Oct Input— One-volt-per-octave cutoff-frequency control input for playing the self-oscillating filter tonally.
- CV1 Input— Assignable CV input with bipolar attenuation; it can modulate frequency, mode, or resonance and has destination-dependent internal normaliza
- Audio Input— Main audio input, normalized so the 1 Pole Input can be mixed into the three-pole filter path with the Input Level control.
- Mode— Continuously morphs among the filter modes; the diode morphing circuit also produces waveshaping and inverts the signal around the center tr
- Frequency CV Input— Cutoff-frequency CV input; its amount control acts as a fine-tune control when nothing is patched here.
- Mode CV Amount— Sets the attenuation of voltage applied to the Mode CV Input.
- CV1 Destination— Assigns CV1 to Frequency, Mode, or Resonance; the selected assignment also determines its normalized internal source.
- LP Compensation— Enables compensation for the level loss caused by increasing resonance in applicable low-pass and all-pass modes.
- Frequency CV Amount— Sets the attenuation of voltage applied to the Frequency CV Input.
- CV2 Destination— Assigns CV2 to Frequency, Mode, or AC-coupled linear FM.
- Band-pass Family— Indicates that the two middle mode positions use the band-pass combinations.
- Mode Toggle Destination— Selects whether automatic mode toggling occurs at the high-pass, low/high middle, or low-pass position.
- 3LP Mode— Indicates the 3-pole low-pass mode (-18 dB/octave).
- 3HP Mode— Indicates the 3-pole high-pass mode (-18 dB/octave).
- Input Level— Sets the level of the main audio input mixed into the three-pole filter path.
- All-pass Family— Indicates that the two middle mode positions use the all-pass combinations.
- Middle-Low Mode— Indicates the left middle mode position: 2-pole low-pass plus 1-pole high-pass band-pass, or its toggled all-pass variation.
- Middle-High Mode— Indicates the right middle mode position: 1-pole low-pass plus 2-pole high-pass band-pass, or its toggled all-pass variation.
