Instruo Harmonaig
Four-voice diatonic harmonic quantiser for expressive chord progressions
18 HP Eurorack module
The Harmonaig is a four-voice diatonic harmonic quantiser that takes a single CV input and outputs up to four harmonically related voltages representing chord tones (root, third, fifth, seventh). It brings polyphonic chord composition and harmonic voice leading to the Eurorack format, supporting modal scales, inversions, voicings, and custom chord programming with no deep music theory knowledge required.
Features
- Four-voice diatonic harmonic quantiser with individual CV outputs for root, third, fifth, and seventh chord tones
- CV input with built-in attenuverter and bipolar input range of -/+10V (20 octaves)
- Individual slew/portamento controls for each of the four CV outputs
- Eight chord quality types: Minor Major 7th, Diminished 7th, Half Diminished, Minor 7th, Dominant 7th, Major 7th, Augmented Major 7th, Augmented Dominant 7th
- Four chord inversion settings (Root Position, 1st, 2nd, 3rd Inversion)
- Four chord voicing settings (Close, Drop 2, Drop 3, Spread/Open)
- Seven Ionian modal scale presets: Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, Locrian
- Seven Harmonic Minor modal scale presets: Aeolian #7, Locrian #6, Ionian #5, Dorian #4, Phrygian #3, Lydian #2, Super Locrian
- Automatic diatonic harmonisation assigns contextually correct chord qualities per scale degree
- Manual and CV override of chord quality via Diatonic Button
- CV inputs for Chord Quality, Inversion, and Voicing (all 0V-5V, summed with knob position)
- Transposition with three modes: Quantised Offset, Global Quantised Offset, Global Fine Tune
