Instruo dàil
Compact quantiser, precision adder, and MIDI-to-CV interface
4 HP Eurorack module
The dàil combines a high resolution bipolar quantiser, a chromatic interval precision adder, and a MIDI-to-CV interface in just 4HP. Scales can be programmed locally using the slider and buttons, or imported from a MIDI keyboard via the included 2HP MIDI Expander. The quantiser supports multi-octave patterns with 19 preset major and minor scales plus custom programming. The precision adder runs in parallel, offsetting signals by defined chromatic intervals using a calibrated buffered throughput. An optional sample and hold clock input enables external timing control with AND logic. The module also functions as a monophonic MIDI-to-CV converter with pitch bend, gate, and trigger outputs.

Controls & Jacks (11)
- CV In — Bipolar control voltage input for the quantiser. Incoming CV is quantised to the programmed scale. Input range: -/+10V.
- Signal Throughput In — Bipolar control voltage input that sums with the quantised voltage and precision adder bias at the output. Used for transposition. Input ran
- Output — Bipolar control voltage output generating the summed signal of the quantised CV Input, Signal Throughput, and Precision Adder offset. Output
- Trigger Out — Generates a trigger signal with every update in quantised voltage. Output voltage: 5V.
- Gate Out — Generates a gate signal for the duration of any sustained MIDI note message present at the USB Type A Port or TRS MIDI Input of the MIDI Exp
- CLK In — External clock input for the quantiser sample and hold stage. A rising edge triggers sample and hold after the quantiser engine, before slew
- Expansion — 3.5mm TRS jack for connecting the included 2HP MIDI Expander to the main module.
- Slew / Navigate — Multi-purpose vertical slider. In Quantiser mode: sets global slew amount with LED brightness feedback. In Programming mode: navigates chrom
- Note Down — Multi-purpose button. In Programming mode: toggles quantiser note activation. In Quantiser mode: offsets quantised voltage down by octaves (
- Note Up — Multi-purpose button. In Programming mode: toggles precision adder note activation. In Quantiser mode: offsets quantised voltage up by octav
