Intellijel Amps
Dual, Chainable VCA
6 HP Eurorack module
Dual linear VCA with cascaded CV inputs and mix outputs; CV inversion and offset enable voltage-controlled crossfading.
Features
- Manual level sliders support mixing and CV biasing.
- Dedicated CV attenuators and dual-color CV indicators.
- Linear VCA response.
- All inputs and outputs are DC coupled.
- Rear 4-pin links support chaining modules into larger mixers.
Controls & Jacks (19)
- CV A Attenuator— Controls how much CV A IN governs VCA A amplification.
- VCA B Phase Invert— In its up position, inverts the phase of the IN B signal for VCA B.
- CV B Attenuator— Controls how much CV B IN, or the normalled CV A IN signal, governs VCA B amplification.
- OUT A— VCA A output; when unpatched, its signal is mixed into OUT B.
- OUT B— VCA B output; when OUT A is unpatched, this carries the sum of VCA A and VCA B.
- IN B— Signal input for VCA B; when unpatched, it receives IN A.
- IN A— Signal input for VCA A; it is normalled to IN B when that jack is unpatched.
- CV B Polarity— Inverts the polarity of CV B IN, causing positive and negative voltages to affect VCA B oppositely.
- CV A IN— CV input controlling VCA A level; it is normalled to CV B IN when that jack is unpatched.
- CV A Polarity— Inverts the polarity of CV A IN, causing positive and negative voltages to affect VCA A oppositely.
- VCA B Output Indicator— Bi-color indicator of the signal at OUT B: green for positive, red for negative, with brightness indicating magnitude.
- CV B IN— CV input controlling VCA B level; when unpatched, it receives CV A IN.
- VCA A Level— Sets VCA A's base level or bias; fully up is approximately equivalent to +5 V at CV A IN and unity gain.
- VCA A Output Indicator— Bi-color indicator of the signal at OUT A: green for positive, red for negative, with brightness indicating magnitude.
- VCA B Level— Sets VCA B's base level or bias.
- CV B Modulation Indicator— Bi-color indicator of the post-attenuator, post-polarity modulation voltage for VCA B: green for positive, red for negative, with brightness
- CV A Modulation Indicator— Bi-color indicator of the post-attenuator, post-polarity modulation voltage for VCA A: green for positive, red for negative, with brightness
- Boost A— Three-position gain selector for VCA A: approximately +6 dB, unity gain, or approximately +20 dB.
- Boost B— Three-position gain selector for VCA B: approximately +6 dB, unity gain, or approximately +20 dB.
