Noise Tools 1U is a compact utility module combining a clock/random pulse generator, analog pink and white noise sources, a sample and hold circuit, and a slew limiter into a single 1U panel. It excels at generating random voltages, stepped modulation, and smooth gliding control signals, making it an essential generative and modulation tool for any Eurorack system. Its analog noise circuits offer very accurate spectral characteristics, lending a warm, organic quality to all noise-derived signals.

- Internal clock with rate spanning 15-second pulses to 2.5 kHz audio rate
- Random pulse mode with probability-based pulse generation every 10 ms
- Analog pink noise output with equal power per octave spectrum
- Analog white noise output with equal power per frequency spectrum
- Analog sample and hold circuit with very low droop
- Track and hold mode as alternative to sample and hold
- External TRIG input to sync S&H to external clock or gate signals
- SAMPLE IN normalled to white noise when unpatched
- Analog slew limiter with adjustable slew time from nearly instantaneous to ~1 second per 5V change
- SLEW IN normalled to HOLD output when unpatched
- Bicolor INPUT LED indicating polarity and magnitude of sample input voltage
- Bicolor SLEW OUT LED indicating polarity and magnitude of slew output voltage
Controls & Jacks (15)
- Sample/Track — Selects between SAMPLE mode (samples at rising pulse edge) and TRACK mode (tracks while pulse is low).
- Hold — Outputs the sampled or tracked signal from the sample & hold circuit.
- Random — Toggles between steady metrical CLOCK mode and random RANDOM pulse generation mode.
- Slew Time — Controls slew rate from nearly instantaneous to approximately 1 second per 5V change.
- Slew In — Input signal to be slewed. Defaults to Hold output if unpatched.
- Sample In — Input signal to be sampled or tracked. Defaults to white noise output if unpatched.
- Slew Out — Outputs the slewed version of the signal at Slew In (or Hold output if Slew In is unpatched).
- Trig — Clock/trigger input to control sample & hold sampling rate. Defaults to internal pulse if unpatched.
- Pink — Pink noise output with equal power per octave, darker sound than white noise.
- White — White noise output with equal power per frequency, bright and sizzly.

- Pulse — Outputs 5V gate signal from the internal pulse circuit.
