Joranalogue Bias 2

Precision scaler/offsetter

2 HP Eurorack module

Bias 2 is a two-channel precision scaler/offsetter for interfacing common Eurorack voltage ranges, including -5 to +5 V, 0 to +5 V, and 0 to +10 V.

Features

  • Two precision analogue scaler/offsetter sections in 2 HP.
  • Both channels sum two signals; Channel 1 also provides an average output.
  • Channel 1 has a +5 V reference normal and divide-by-two output; Channel 2 has a -5 V normal and times-two gain output.
  • Designed for CV, audio, gates, and triggers, with flat bandwidth to 20 kHz.
  • Impedance-compensated outputs.

Controls & Jacks (8)

  • Channel 1 Input 1— First input of the upper section; unpatched, it is normalled to a +5 V precision reference for offsetting.
  • Channel 2 Input 1— First input of the lower section; unpatched, it is normalled to a -5 V precision reference for offsetting.
  • Channel 1 Sum Output— Unity-gain summed output of the two Channel 1 inputs.
  • Channel 1 Average Output— Half-level output of Channel 1's sum; with two inputs, this provides their average.
  • Channel 2 Input 2— Second input of the lower section; it is summed with Channel 2 Input 1.
  • Channel 2 Gain Output— Double-level output of the Channel 2 sum, providing +6 dB gain.
  • Channel 2 Sum Output— Unity-gain summed output of the two Channel 2 inputs.
  • Channel 1 Input 2— Second input of the upper section; it is summed with Channel 1 Input 1.
