Joranalogue Fold 6
Multi-topology wavefolder
4 HP Eurorack module
A 6-stage hybrid series/parallel wavefolder with simultaneous main and alternate outputs, manual symmetry, and voltage control of fold and shape.
Features
- Simultaneous series and parallel analogue diode-based six-stage wavefolding.
- Manual symmetry control for asymmetric folding.
- Voltage-controlled overdrive shaping.
- Two mixed, DC-coupled signal inputs for audio, CV, or both.
Controls & Jacks (9)
- Symmetry— Applies a manual −5 V to +5 V DC offset to the mixed inputs for asymmetric folding or to re-centre an already offset signal.
- Shape— Controls the post-wavefolder overdrive stage, progressively shaping folded continuous waveforms toward pulses as it increases.
- Fold— Sets the gain of the input VCA before the six-stage wavefolder; increasing it engages more folding stages, while minimum fully attenuates th
- Signal Input 1— First DC-coupled signal input; it is mixed with Signal Input 2 and accepts audio or CV.
- Alternate Output— Parallel-topology wavefolder output, providing a generally mellower simultaneous alternate waveform.
- Main Output— Series-topology wavefolder output with the integrated soft-clipping stage.
- Fold Input— Linear CV input for the fold-controlled input VCA; external voltage can drive the folder harder than the Fold knob range.
- Shape Input— CV input for overdrive shape; with Shape at minimum, 0 V gives no drive and +5 V gives maximum drive, while negative voltage attenuates.
- Signal Input 2— Second DC-coupled signal input; it is mixed with Signal Input 1 and accepts audio or CV.
