Joranalogue Select 2
Dual gated CV processor: select, hold, polarize, mix
6 HP Eurorack module
Select 2 is a dual gated precision control voltage processor for Eurorack, offering two independent channels of signal selection, track-and-hold, and polarizing attenuation in 6HP. It handles everything from slow CV manipulation to audio-rate processing, enabling ring modulation, waveform morphing, sequence selection, and more with a characteristically clean, high-precision analog sound.
Features
- Two independent identical processor channels in 6HP
- Gated signal selector: chooses between two analog inputs via gate signal
- Track-and-hold with ultra-low leakage, maintains held voltage for several minutes
- Gated polarizer/attenuverter: full inversion through unity gain controlled by knob
- Unity Gate input overrides polarizer knob to force unity gain
- Schmitt trigger gate inputs for reliable operation with slow or weak bipolar signals (2V low, 3V high threshold)
- Left signal input normalized to +5V when unpatched (constant voltage generation)
- Right signal input normalized to 0V when unpatched
- Bi-color LED output indicators: blue for negative, red for positive
- Output A normalled into Output B for mixing/offsetting when A jack is unused
- Zero-ohm impedance-compensated outputs
- 100 kOhm input impedance on all inputs
Controls & Jacks (22)
- Output A
- Output LED A Positive
- Output LED B Positive
- Select Gate A 1 — Processed signal output from processor A. Mixes with Output B when unconnected.
- Select Gate A 2 — Gate input to select between Left (low) and Right (high) signal inputs on processor A.
- Output B
- Signal In A (Left) — Left signal input for processor A. Normalized to +5V reference when unconnected.
- Hold Gate A — Gate input to freeze/hold the signal on processor A. Rising edge captures, held high maintains freeze.
- Polarizer A — Controls amplification and inversion of signal path A. Minimum: -1 (inverted), center: 0 (muted), maximum: +1 (unity gain).
- Polarizer B — Controls amplification and inversion of signal path B. Minimum: -1 (inverted), center: 0 (muted), maximum: +1 (unity gain).
- Hold Gate B — Gate input to freeze/hold the signal on processor B. Rising edge captures, held high maintains freeze.
- Signal In A Left — Left signal input for processor A. Normalized to +5V reference when unconnected.
- Signal In A Right — Right signal input for processor A. Selected when Select Gate is high.
- UNITY Gate A — Gate input to disable the polarizer on processor A when high (maximum output).
- OUT A — Processed signal output from processor A. Mixes with Output B when unconnected.
- Signal In B Left — Left signal input for processor B. Normalized to +5V reference when unconnected.
- Signal In B Right — Right signal input for processor B. Selected when Select Gate is high.
- SELECT Gate B — Gate input to select between Left (low) and Right (high) signal inputs on processor B.
- UNITY Gate B — Gate input to disable the polarizer on processor B when high (maximum output).
- OUT B — Processed signal output from processor B.
- Output LED A — Bi-color LED: Red indicates positive output voltage on processor A.
- Output LED B — Bi-color LED: Red indicates positive output voltage on processor B.
