Step 8 is a sequential tracking and sampling register that combines an analogue 1-to-8 signal switch with eight high-stability track/sample-and-hold stages, capable of functioning as a sequencer, sequential switch, analogue shift register, counter, voltage mapper, and more. Its musical character is deeply flexible and precise, allowing pitch CVs, audio, and gates to be distributed, memorized, and sequenced across eight independent stages with individual attenuation and gate outputs.
