Joranalogue Warp 1
Precision analogue power curve waveshaper
8 HP Eurorack module
Warp 1 is a precision analogue waveshaper implementing a mathematical power function rather than relying on transistor/diode characteristics. It bends waveform segments into concave or convex curves controlled by a variable exponent parameter. Features a Hyper mode for negative exponents producing hyperbolic curves, an absolute value switch for full-wave rectification, independent positive/negative output clipping with CV control, dual summed inputs, inverted output, and polarity comparator gate output. DC-coupled for processing both audio and CV signals.
Features
- Analogue waveshaper based on mathematical power functions
- Variable exponent from concave (thin) through unity to convex (driven)
- Hyper mode for negative exponents and hyperbolic waveshaping
- Absolute value switch for full-wave rectification and octave-up effects
- Symmetry control for asymmetric waveshaping with ±5V DC offset
- Precision output clipper with independent positive and negative boundaries
- Three simultaneous outputs: regular, inverted, and polarity comparator gate
- DC-coupled signal path processes both audio and CV
- Dual summed inputs eliminate need for external mixer
- 0Ω impedance-compensated signal outputs
- 100kΩ input impedance on all inputs
- Schmitt trigger gate input works with weak/slow/bipolar signals (+2V/+3V thresholds)
