Ladik S-090 Dual Probability Skipper
Two-channel gate skipper with voltage-controllable probability
4 HP Eurorack module
The S-090 Dual Probability Skipper is a two-channel gate filter that randomly passes or blocks incoming gate and trigger signals based on a user-set probability. It brings controlled chaos and organic variation to rhythmic patterns, allowing sequences to breathe and evolve without full repetition. Its exclusive mode and two randomization algorithms give it a range of musical characters from lightly humanized grooves to generative polyrhythmic textures.
Features
- Two independent probability skipper channels
- Ch2 gate input normalled from Ch1 for easy single-source dual-probability operation
- Probability knobs double as CV attenuators when CV is patched
- 0V or below maps to 0% probability, 5V or above maps to 100% probability
- Internal jumper for Exclusive Mode — only one channel output fires per pulse
- Ch1 has priority in Exclusive Mode with normalled input
- Two selectable randomization algorithms via internal jumper
- Cluster Algorithm supports true 0% and 100% probability extremes
- LEDs on each gate input and gate output for visual monitoring
- Powered from positive 12V rail only
Controls & Jacks (16)
- Channel 2 Probability — Sets probability (0-100%) that input pulses pass to output on channel 2. Also acts as attenuator for CV input.
- Channel 1 Probability CV — CV input for modulating channel 1 probability (0-5V range)
- Channel 1 — LED indicator for channel 1 activity
- I
- Channel 1 Gate In — Gate/trigger input for channel 1
- Channel 1 Gate Out — Gate output for channel 1, passes pulses based on probability setting
- Channel 2 Gate In — Gate/trigger input for channel 2 (normalled from channel 1 if not connected)
- Channel 2 Probability CV — CV input for modulating channel 2 probability (0-5V range)
- G
- Channel 1 Probability — Sets probability (0-100%) that input pulses pass to output on channel 1. Also acts as attenuator for CV input.
- IN
- Channel 2 Gate Out — Gate output for channel 2, passes pulses based on probability setting
- Exclusive Mode Jumper — Internal jumper: when set, outputs block each other so only one channel can pass a pulse at a time; ch1 has priority
- Algorithm Select Jumper — Internal jumper: when set selects a different randomizing algorithm that creates more regular random but prevents true 0% and 100% probabili
- Channel 1 Gate In LED — LED indicator for channel 1 activity
- Channel 2 Gate In LED — LED indicator for channel 2 activity
