Buffered multiple, adder, and averager in 4HP
4 HP Eurorack module
Links is a compact utility module combining three signal routing functions: a buffered multiple for distributing precise pitch CVs, a precision adder for combining two signals, and an averager for mixing up to three audio or CV sources without clipping. Its musical character is transparent and precise, serving as essential glue in any patch.
Features
- 1:3 buffered multiple with low offset error for accurate pitch CV distribution
- 2:2 precision adder with unity gain and 0.1% resistors for accurate CV summing
- 3:1 averager with 1/3 gain per channel, prevents clipping when mixing audio sources
- All inputs DC-coupled
- Audio-rate signals accepted on all sections
- Input impedance: 1M ohm for buffered multiple, 100k ohm for mixer sections
- 4HP compact form factor
Controls & Jacks (17)
- 1:3 Input — Input for the buffered multiple section. Accepts CV signals distributed to three outputs with low offset error.
- 1:3 Output 1 — First buffered output from the 1:3 multiple section.
- 1:3 Output 2 — Second buffered output from the 1:3 multiple section.
- 1:3 Output 3 — Third buffered output from the 1:3 multiple section.
- 1:3 — LED indicating signal presence in the 1:3 buffered multiple section
- 2:2 Input 1 — First input for the 2-input precision adder/summer section.
- 2:2 Output 1 — First output of the 2:2 summer section, distributing the sum of the two inputs.
- 2:2 Input 2 — Second input for the 2-input precision adder/summer section.
- 3:1 Input 1 — First input for the 3-input mixer/averager section.
- 3:1 Input 2 1 — Third input for the 3-input mixer/averager section.
- 3:1 Input 2 2 — Second input for the 3-input mixer/averager section.
- 2:2 Output 2 — Second output of the 2:2 summer section, distributing the sum of the two inputs.
- 3:1 Output — Output of the 3:1 mixer section, with gain of 1/3 per channel to prevent clipping.
- 2:2 — LED indicating signal presence in the 2:2 precision adder section
- M! — LED indicating signal presence in the 3:1 averager/mixer section
- Power — Power indicator LED.
- 3:1 Input 3 — Third input for the 3-input mixer/averager section.
