The Morphagene is a next-generation tape and microsound module that records, splices, and granularizes audio stored on a microSD card. It bridges Musique Concrète tape manipulation techniques with granular synthesis, allowing real-time vari-speed playback, sound-on-sound overdubbing, and gene-level (granular) decomposition of audio into particles that can be staggered, layered, and randomized.

- Slide parameter for scrubbing and offsetting Gene start position within a Splice
- Morph parameter for Gene gap, seamless loop, overlap, panning, and pitch randomization
- Synchronous Granulation via CLK IN for time-stretch effects
- Automatic Input Leveling (Hold REC + Press Shift)
- CV Output representing average energy of Audio Outputs (0-8V)

- Audio In L — Audio signal input for recording onto the reel
- Audio In R — Right stereo audio input, line to modular level, AC coupled
- S.O.S. CV IN — Unipolar CV input for Sound On Sound parameter, 0V to 8V, normalized to +8V
- S.O.S. — Controls the output volume during playback
- Audio Out L — Main audio output from the morphagene
- Audio Out R — Auxiliary audio output
- Gene-Size — Shrinks the splice playback window into smaller pieces called genes
- Slide — Moves through gene pieces in a nonlinear fashion for random access
- Gene-Size CV IN — CV input for controlling gene size
- Vari-Speed — Stretches or compresses time of the reel
- Slide CV Input — CV input for controlling random access through genes
- Gene-Size CV IN Attenuator — Bipolar attenuator for Gene-Size CV input

- Shift Gate Input — CV input for controlling gene shift

- REC — Button to start and stop recording
- Splice — Press to drop a Splice marker at current playback location; illuminates at End of Splice/Gene
- Play Gate Input — Trigger input to start/stop playback
- REC Gate Input — Trigger input to start/stop recording
- End of Gene/Splice Gate Output — Outputs a gate at the end of each Splice and/or Gene, 0 to 10Vpp
- Splice Gate Input — CV input for controlling splice selection
- Reel Activity Window — Visual indication of currently selected Reel; flashes to indicate CLK IN signal and Reel Select Mode
- Shift — Increments Splice selection; illuminates when microSD is mounted; flashes when SD card is busy
- microSD Card Slot — MicroSD card slot for storing reels and sound files
- REC Button Illumination — Indicator light showing recording status
- Splice Activity Window — Visual indication of currently selected Splice; flashes during erase operations
- Vari-Speed Activity Windows — Indicates speed, direction, and Morph settings
- CV Output Activity Window — Visual indication of the CV Output signal level
