The Mysteron is a voltage-controlled dual digital waveguide — a Karplus-Strong-style physical-modeling voice that is completely digital yet behaves organically. You excite its two waveguides with gates, set their length (pitch) over ~5 octaves, then sculpt the sound with Generation feedback (from percussive de-generation to sustained re-generation and self-oscillation) and a Mutation section that blends scanned wavetables into the excitation. It can be a melodic quantized voice, a duophonic sample-and-hold instrument, a wavetable oscillator, or a source of otherworldly textures.

- Two normalled Excite gate inputs for monophonic or duophonic operation
- Generation feedback control: De-Generative (percussive) to Re-Generative (sustained/self-oscillating)
- Mutation section blends scanned wavetables with noise excitation (Depth + Type)
- Combo knobs: Impulse and Depth act as attenuators when their CV inputs are patched
- Quantize Mode for 12-tone chromatic 1V/Oct melodic tracking via Pitch 2
- Fine Pitch trim (+/- 12%) for tuning to other voices
- !! gate input for bowed attack or waveguide cross-coupling
- Multi-purpose Mystery LED indicates mutation, bowed/cross-feedback, and quantize states
- Impulse usable as a digital VCA when self-oscillating
- AC-coupled output up to ~10Vpp
