Stereo, modeless spatial texturizer — morph continuously between echo and reverb.
16 HP Eurorack module
Plexiphon is a stereo spatial texturizer built on entirely new DSP code by Tom Erbe (soundhack) for Make Noise's newest digital hardware. There are no modes or algorithm switches — the Plexus knob continuously varies the number and entanglement of feedback paths inside the algorithm, sweeping smoothly from clean multi-tap echoes through to dense reverberant textures, with a wide 'neither reverb nor echo' middle ground. Size controls the temporal relation between paths (delay-time at low Plexus, room-size at high Plexus), Decay sets feedback intensity all the way to self-oscillation, and Diffuse + Color shape the timbre of the trail. Couple and Skew add stereo image control, an envelope-follower CV Out lets the module modulate itself, and a Send gate enables dub-throw input chopping.
