The Make Noise Spectraphon is a dual spectral oscillator coded by Tom Erbe of soundhack. It uses real-time spectral analysis and resynthesis across two nearly identical sides (A and B), each operating in SAM (Spectral Amplitude Modulation) or SAO (Spectral Array Oscillation) mode. In SAM, external audio modulates harmonic amplitudes; in SAO, stored spectral Arrays are scanned to produce evolving timbres. An internal FM Bus connects both sides for high-resolution cross-frequency modulation. The Spectranoise firmware (sp52+) adds Noise and Chaos modes. Arrays of up to 1024 spectra are stored on microSD and can be created from live spectral analysis.

- Low-frequency mode for SAO, Noise, and Chaos (sp52+)
- Sub/CV output switchable between sub-oscillator, envelope follower, random CV, triangle LFO, and ramp LFO
- Linear and Planar Array modulation styles (sp67+)
