The Quad Gate Delay is a 4-channel tempo-synced rhythm generator and logic delay that creates polyrhythmic and cascading gate patterns from incoming triggers. It offers millisecond, unquantized tempo-synced, and quantized tempo-synced delay modes, making it equally suited for tight rhythmic offsets and loose, evolving gate clouds. Its normalling modes and mix output enable complex, self-generating rhythmic structures from minimal patching.
Features
- 4 channels of gate delay each with dedicated input and output
- CV inputs for adjusting delay time on channels 1 and 2
- Channels 3 and 4 have fixed (manual-only) delay time control
- Clock input for tempo-synced modes
- 3 time modes: milliseconds (up to 1 second), tempo synced unquantized (up to 1 bar), tempo synced quantized in 1/16 divisions (up to 1 bar)
- 3 normalling modes: independent, fan-out from channel 1, cascade chain
- Mix output combines all 4 channels and sends a short pulse when any output goes high
- LED indicator on Mix Output that blinks with each pulse
- Designed as a companion expander for Varigate 4 and Varigate 8
